Load shedding happens every now and then and it is quite frustrating for the people because it disrupts their normal life. So the questions why load shedding, well before answering that question one should know what is load shedding.
Load shedding happens when the company supplying electricity receives more demand for electricity and therefore the company has to resort to power cut to some areas so that balance of demand and supply can be maintained and there is no shortage of electricity. In simple words load shedding is done when demand for electricity exceeds the supply of electricity.
It frequently happens during summer time when the usage of electricity increases which leads to demand and supply mismatch. If load shedding is not done than it could lead to excessive burden on the system which turn may result in failure of the system which nobody wants to happen it will lead to electricity problem for many days.
